The Polaris adventure starts in February 1996 when guitarist-singer Douchan Djukic founds the band, under the early name of Blaster.
He surrounds himself with several musicians, such as Vincent Danhier, who leaves the band in 1997 to co-found The Old Dead Tree.
It is as a power-trio that the band changes name for Polaris and records the first eponymous demo CD in 1997. The same year, Polaris supports Kickback, along with Watcha and Oversoul.
Multiple line-up changes and internal tensions will bring Polaris to an end in February 2000, after having supported legendary French metal band Vulcain for their goodbye show.
In 2001, Douchan decides to reform the Polaris. He recruits new musicians and starts a long work of composition and arrangement.
In April 2003, bass-player Sylvain Taupe, whom Douchan had met during Vulcain's concert, joins with the band. Polaris gives a succession of concerts and records the second demo album, Lost, in June 2004.
One year later, Fabio becomes the new keyboardist of the band. In the beginning of 2007, Onov takes on the drums, followed by Nico, in 2009, who joins in to replace young guitar hero Symheris.
Polaris is currently finishing the recording and mixing of their first album.
