Créé à l’initiative des frères Grunfelder bercés aux douces mélodies des frangins Angus et Malcolm Young, Pearl a connu plusieurs line-up avant de trouver l’harmonie avec les arrivées de John-Chris et Greg. Dès lors le quatuor originaire de l’Est de la France sort une maquette en mai 2010 et ne déviera plus de son crédo : un savant mélange de riffs Hard-Rock old school, de pop très « groovy » et de compositions blues plus intimistes. En définitive Pearl propose une approche résolument optimiste et accrocheuse du Rock à la marge du courant pop-rock actuel sans jamais altérer leur énergie communicative sur scène ou sur simple écoute. ROCK & ROLL’s NOT DEAD!!! Created by the Grunfelder’s brothers, who’ve been lulled by the “sweet” melodies of another pair of brothers -the famous Young’s (Angus and Malcolm from AC/DC)-, PEARL has already been made up of different lines-up until their find the harmony with the arrivals of John-Cris and Greg. Since then, the quatuor originated from Eastern France released an EP in May 2010 and reinforced its creed : a genuine mix of pure Hard-Rocks riffs, groovy- pop bass lines as well as intimate blues compositions. Ultimately, PEARL offers a resolutely ubpeat and catchy Rock style at the margin of the current Pop-Rock French scene, while it never puts aside their communicative energy as good on stage as on records.
