The band called JCG (John Chris Group) takes its name from the guitarist and vocalist John Chris MEYER who was born in Paris. He began to play the guitar at the age of 15 in the South East of France. His first major appearance was in a band called "Lead Cloud" that played a number of important gigs and festivals. ?Backstage? was the next band that John Chris formed which was a 70?s tribute band. It represented a turning point for him because he took up lead vocals with the band and played on the club scene in the South of France. It wasn?t very long before he decided to focus on his own compositions. Some time after that, he decided to change region and settle down in Paris. With a 4 track tape recorder, he found a small production house called Maya records in Metz and then started his own recording studio. John Chris says that the primary reason he started his studio was to manage his own music production and sound . Alongside the studio, John Chris formed "JCG? and Now there is a new project with 12 original classic rock titles .
