Hey, I'm Yassine Rayad, Rayce. I was born in Casablanca in 1990. Music has been the most important part of my life for the last 12 years. I only started playing the guitar when I was 12 but I've been writting songs for a very long time. My favorite artist is Ben Harper. His incredible mix of styles diffuses a steam of positive energy and an incredible load of emotion. I've written and composed about 30 songs but only 8 of them are on my first record, "Take One". My second project called "Save The Green" is finished but not produced yet. I also love mellow calm music, Jack Johnson style and jazzyish tunes like those of Jamie Cullum and others. My latest show was at the 2007 Casablanca Amateur Dramatic Society "Rock this Cads-bah". I love performing. It is a need for me. Performing in front of live audiences is just a pleasure. It brings so much joy to me; to be able to transmit emotions to people by giving them something of my own. Something no one else in the world can give them because each artist has his uniqueness and that is what makes one an artist. I also like the more engaged side of music. Ben Harper once said: "Music is the only true voice left for the people." This quote summarizes my philosophy and the way I think about music.
