David Briot est né le 14 Mars 1971 à Saint-Renan, dans le Finistère, en Bretagne.
Beaucoup d'artistes dans sa famille :
- Georges Briot, son père, artiste peintre
- Claude Armor, sa grand-mère, chanteuse réaliste à Paris
- son grand-père était designer automobile à Paris
- son arrière-grand-père était sculpteur en Bretagne
- ses grands-oncle et tante sont Marcel et Germaine Bouret, dessinateurs célèbres

David commence la musique à l'âge de 4 ans avec Eddy Chetler : solfège et accordéon, harmonies et un peu de piano, pendant 9 ans.
A 13 ans, il apprend la guitare, la basse, l'accordina, l'harmonica chromatique, un peu de batterie, il travaille...12 heures par jour !

- Bruno Nevez, guitariste de jazz

David a fréquenté l'école jusqu'à 16 ans.
Il est gaucher.
A 17 ans, Olivier Louvel, guitariste-compositeur de jazz célèbre ayant travaillé avec de grands musiciens, lui fait découvrir la guitare et la musique, un bond énorme, comme un éveil pour ce qui allait devenir sa carrière.
De 19 à 30 ans (1990-2001), il enseigne la guitare moderne au Simurel de la CUB (Communauté Urbaine de Brest), école agréée par l'Etat, et participe à des ateliers de jazz, blues, funk.
De 24 à 33 ans (1995-2004), parallèlement, il enseigne au CCM (Centre de Création Musicale), de concept plus moderne, atelier de jazz, blues, soul, bossa-nova, jazz-rock, salsa..., accompagnement de chanteurs, trios de Jazz et Quartets.
David enseigne dans 3 villes : Brest, Le Relecq-Kerhuon, Guipavas.

David a à son actif des expériences de groupes et de scènes, dans bars, clubs, cabarets, spectacles et festivals : Festival inter-celtique de Lorient,espace Vauban-Brest...

David begins the music at the age of 4 with Eddy Chetler : musical theory and accordion, harmonies and a bit of piano, for 9 years.
At 13 years old, he learned the guitar, bass, accordina, chromatic harmonica, a little battery, he works...12 hours a day !

David attended school until age 16.
He is left-handed.
At the age of 17, with Olivier Louvel, renowned jazz guitarist who worked with great musicians, he discovered the guitar and music, a huge leap, as an awakening to what would become his career.
From 19 to 30 years (1990-2001), he taught modern guitar in Simurel of CUB (Urban Community of Brest), a school accredited by the state, and participates in workshops jazz, blues, funk.
Between 24 and 33 years (1995-2004), at the same time, he taught at CCM (Music Creation Center), more modern concept, workshop jazz, blues, soul, bossa-nova, jazz-rock, salsa..., accompanying singers, Jazz Trios and Quartets.
David teaches in 3 cities : Brest, Le Relecq-Kerhuon, Guipavas.

David came to the experiments and scenes in bars, clubs, cabarets, theaters and festivals : Festival inter-celtique of Lorient, Space Vauban-Brest...
