A melting pot incarnate in his musical influences, this improbable child of BOB MARLEY, FOREIGNERS & PHIL COLLINS, crystalizes the fusion of the English pop of the 1980's, the sound of MOTOWN and the REGGAE LOVERS version MAXI PRIEST, BERES HAMMOND, SANCHEZ, JAH CURE and ASWAD, the emblematic group of the 80s and 90s.
Biography
His name is *WELCOME*, he is of Congolese origin and he was musically born
the day he discovered *ASWAD*, during the concernt SOS Racisme, near Paris
in 1989. The events that followed formed a logical sequence: the creation of a group, COMMANDO, in which he quickly emerged as the natural leader.
After a brief collaboration, in 1990, with BIG RED and DADDY MORY (ex-members of the RAGGASONICS), WELCOME met, in 1991, SUPA JOHN, who was seduced by his
talent and became his mentor for the years to come.
1995: meeting with TONTON DAVID, who invited him to perform on the track Au ?Galop? from the album "Récidiviste", and then three years later, became the producer of his first album " Bienvenu " produced and distributed by VIRGIN France. WELCOME was still only 22
In 2003, Mc SOLAAR, recognized WELCOME's vocal potential, and invited him
to work with him on the album "Mach 6".
Since then, WELCOME has grown. After having passed through a period of
maturation which allowed him to enrich his voice and his compositions,
WELCOME has reached new, superiour heights.

Il s?appelle WELCOME, il est d?origine congolaise et nait à la musique le jour où il découvre ASWAD, lors du concert SOS Racisme à l?esplanade de Vincennes en 1989.
Les évènements s?enchainent et vient la création d?un groupe, COMMANDO, dans lequel il s?impose très vite en tant que leader naturel.
Après une courte collaboration, en 1990, avec BIG RED et DADDY MORY (ex-membres des RAGGASONICS), WELCOME rencontra, en 1991, SUPA JOHN, qui séduit par son talent deviendra son mentor pendant plusieurs années.
1995 : rencontre avec TONTON DAVID, qui l?invita sur le titre ?Au Galop? de l?album ?Récidiviste?, puis 3 ans plus tard, deviendra le réalisateur de son 1er Album ?BIENVENU? produit et distribué par VIRGIN France. Il n?avait que 22 ans.
En 2003, Mc SOLAAR, reconnaissant le potentiel vocal de WELCOME, l?invita à collaborer sur son album ?Mach 6?.
Depuis, WELCOME a grandi. Après avoir traversé une période de maturation qui lui a permis d?enrichir sa voix et ses compositions, WELCOME s?est élevé à une dimension supérieure.
